本組發展重點

  1. 透過綜合和應用科學、科技及數學領域中的知識與技能,使學生明白科學、科技及數學的發展與社會環境是息息相關,並有助改善現今世界的生活素質。
  2. 透過綜合和應用知識與技能,解決真實的問題和製作發明品,發展學生正面的價值觀和積極的態度,促進學生全人發展。

學習活動

  1. 在小一小二級派發「親子也科研」教材套,讓學生和家長在家中製作科研小玩兒,探索科學的樂趣。
  2. 在小三至小六級推行生物科技教育校本課程,學習微生物學和遺傳學的知識,連繫日常生活中有關個人衛生或生物科技的經歷。
  3. 統籌常識、科學、數學、視藝和電腦科進行跨學科STEAM活動,透過「從做中學」,學習STEM的各種知識和技能。
  4. 舉辦校內STEAM WEEK、閱讀推廣及暑期親子也科研比賽,透過全方位學習活動,提升學生學習科學、科技和數學的興趣。
  5. 甄選科學資優學生參加「科學小博士」拔尖課程;並積極推薦學生參與不同的科研比賽,盡展潛能。

Development Highlights 

  1. By integrating and applying knowledge and skills in the fields of science, technology, and mathematics, students will understand that the development of these disciplines is closely interconnected with the social environment and contributes to improving the quality of life in today’s world.
  2. Through synthesizing and applying knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems and create inventions, students will develop positive values and proactive attitudes, fostering their holistic development.

Learning Activities

  1. “Fun Science” learning kits are distributed to Primary 1 and 2 students for them to explore the fun in science with their parents. 
  2. School-based biotechnology curriculum is implemented in Primary 3 to 6. Students will acquire the knowledge of microbiology and genetics, integrated with personal hygiene or biotechnology in daily life.
  3. Interdisciplinary STEAM activities featuring General Studies, Science, Mathematics, Visual Arts and Computer Studies are organized for students to learn various STEM knowledge and skills through hands on experience.
  4. STEAM Week, reading promotion and Summer Fun Science Competition are organized with the aim of arousing students’ interest in science, technology and mathematics through all-round learning activities.
  5. Gifted students are shortlisted to attend the “Little Doctor of Science” enhancement course. In addition, students are nominated to engage in different science competitions to unleash their talent.
