中小銜接 Interface between Primary and Secondary School

目的

本校為一條龍中小學校,提供十二年一貫的優質教育,本校老師與中學部老師保持密切的聯繫,讓學生在中小過渡的階段上有更多的支持;並常舉辦中小活動,期望透過多元的銜接活動,以:

  • 培養學生有信心去面對轉變,為升中作好準備;
  • 加強中、小學各科課程的縱向聯繫,在設計上作出適當的配合,為學生提供連貫的學習經歷;
  • 協助家長了解升中派位機制,為升中作好準備。
中小銜接安排
小五及小六家長晚會向家長講解升中派位機制,讓家長為子女升中作準備。
與麥校長對話(中學部校長)麥校長與小五及小六學生舉辦座談會,透過真情對話,讓小學生對中學生活、課程等資訊有所認知。
中小活動中小學生均分為四個社別,透過舉辦社際活動,增加中小學生交流;中小學設施共用,讓小學同學認識中學生活;透過中學生的分享,讓小學同學更了解中學的學習,為升中做好準備。
課程配合於小五及小六使用自主學習,為迎接中學學習模式作準備;此外,各科加入:
中文科文言學習高階思維及分析
英文科詞彙的積累強化寫作技能
數學科數學語言的運用英語詞彙部份課題全英語教授及評估
常識科透過主題式學習,引導學生從多角度分析及思考訓練批判性思考能力加強科學科技的探究部份課題全英語教授及評估

Objectives

The school operates its primary and secondary education in a “through-train” mode, providing quality education of a 12-year continuum curriculum. Our teachers work closely with their counterparts in the Secondary Section to support the interface between primary and secondary school with a wide range of activities aiming to: 

  • cultivate students’ confidence to deal with changes and prepare for secondary school enrollment; 
  • strengthen the vertical continuity among primary and secondary school subjects through adopting holistic curriculum planning. To provide a coherent learning experience for students, the school makes appropriates arrangements on the school policies and curriculum design; and
  • provide parents with information on Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System to get ready for secondary school enrollment.
Relevant Activities
Parents’ Night for P5 and P6Providing information on the SSPA mechanism for parents to get ready for the secondary school enrollment.
Meeting with Principal Mak (Secondary Section) Principal Mak will conduct a sharing forum with P5 and P6 students for them to have a better understanding of secondary school life and the curriculum.
Secondary and primary school activitiesOur school is divided into four houses. Inter-house activities encourage communication and collaboration between primary and secondary school. Since primary and secondary school students share some school facilities, primary students get to have a taste of the secondary school life. Secondary students’ sharing on their school life helps prepare the juniors for entering secondary school.  
Curriculum designSelf-directed learning is incorporated in P5 and P6 to enable students to adapt to the learning mode of secondary school. In addition, the following elements are added to the subjects:
