跨學科學習 Cross-Curricular Learning

目的

為了提升學生對學習的興趣、促進共通能力的發展、融會貫通各學科領域知識及培養學生正向的價值觀,小學各級均安排了跨學科學習活動,透過跨學科專題研習、主題閱讀活動、STEAM 學習活動等達至跨學科整合及應用知識與技能。

推展模式

1. 跨學科專題研習

配合學習主題進行,另設副題,整合不同範疇之學習內容,培養學生的探究精神及提升研習能力,發揮多元智能。小一至小四級安排專題研習周,小五小六級全年進行主題式的專題研習學習活動。

2. 主題閱讀活動

本校重視培養學生的閱讀興趣和習慣,採用全校參與的方式推動閱讀,通過跨學科協作,統整各科學習內容,幫助學生建構知識,融會貫通,學會學習。

3. STEAM 學習活動

為了進一步加強學生綜合應用不同STEAM學科知識與技能的能力,學校於各級常識科、電腦科及數學作出課程規劃,通過動手創作學習的體驗活動,藉以培養同學的創造力、協作和解決問題的能力。

Objectives:

We aim to arouse students’ interest in learning, integrate knowledge of different curricula and cultivate students’ generic skills and positive values through various cross-curricular activities for all primary levels. Students can integrate and apply knowledge and skills of different subjects through cross-curricular project learning, thematic reading activities, STEAM learning activities, etc.  

Implementation mode:

(1) Cross-curricular project learning

In line with the learning theme, sub-topics are devised to integrate the learning content of different curricula, so as to cultivate and enhance students’ investigation spirit, learning capacity and multiple intelligence. P1 to P4 students will spend the Project Learning Week together, while P5 and P6 ones will conduct thematic learning activities throughout the year.

(2) Thematic reading activities

Since the school attaches great importance to cultivating students’ interest in and habit of reading, it is all hands on deck to promote reading in our school. We organize the learning content of different subjects through cross-curricular collaboration to help students develop and integrate knowledge and acquire learning skills.

(3) STEAM learning activities

To further enhance students’ ability to apply knowledge and skills of different STEAM subjects, curriculum planning is in place at all levels of General Studies, Computer and Mathematics to nurture students’ creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experience.
