9月5日中午時分，可譽小一級家長懷着既興奮又期待的心情踏進校園，進入教室與孩子經歷人生的首次——在校進膳。
在家長還未進入教室前，家長們都先到特別室參與一個小型簡介會，當老師提醒家長陪伴子女進膳的注意事項時，家長們都點頭微笑，仿如學生般，紛紛表示願意在「陪飯」時與班主任合作，嘗試放手，給予孩子鼓勵及信心，讓他們學會自理。
午飯鈴聲響起，家長如貫地進入教室，孩子看見家長來到，都開心得手舞足蹈。一切安頓後，班主任教導孩子們進膳規矩，當全班説：「各位老師吃飯，各位同學吃飯，謝謝飯長！」後，終於開飯了！
午膳期間，校長及班主任們播放兒歌《勇氣大爆發》予孩子一邊吃飯，一邊細心聆聽，旨在鼓勵孩子在歡愉的氣氛下，勇敢地迎接生命中的新挑戰。
飯後，孩子在父母及師長的指導下，學習收拾自己的餐桌、用具，更要未雨綢繆，為學習作好準備——寫好手冊、擺放好下一節的物品，才可以開始午息。
午間的陽光照耀着孩子和家長，他們大手牽小手，在操場、在譽花園、在走廊上遊走，享受着在可譽校園的第一天午休時光。
期待着這些一雙雙大手小手，能一直互相扶持，成為孩子成長歷程中的最強後盾。
On the afternoon of September 5, parents of Ho Yu’s Primary 1 students stepped into the campus with excitement and anticipation, entering the classroom to share a life milestone with their children—their first school meal.
Before entering the classroom, parents gathered in a special room for a brief introductory meeting. When the teachers reminded parents of the important points to consider while accompanying their children during meals, the parents nodded and smiled, resembling students themselves. They expressed their willingness to collaborate with the class teacher during the “meal accompaniment,” showing their intention to let go and provide encouragement and confidence to their children, helping them learn self-care.
As the lunch bell rang, parents entered the classroom in unison, and upon seeing their parents, the children were filled with joy, dancing with excitement. Once everything was settled, the class teacher taught the children the dining etiquette. When the whole class said, “Teachers eat, students eat, thank you, meal supervisor!” the meal finally began!
During lunch, the principal and class teachers played the children’s song “Courage Explosion,” encouraging the children to listen carefully while enjoying their meal, aiming to inspire them to bravely face new challenges in life in a joyful atmosphere.
After the meal, under the guidance of their parents and teachers, the children learned to tidy up their tables and utensils. They also prepared for their studies—organizing their manuals and arranging materials for the next class before they could start their afternoon rest.
The midday sun shone on the children and parents as they held hands, wandering around the playground, in the Ho Yu Garden, and in the corridors, enjoying their first afternoon break at Ho Yu.
We look forward to these pairs of big and small hands continuously supporting each other, becoming the strongest backing for the children’s growth journey.
