7月6日，可譽一羣充滿愛心的小義工，在聖公會東涌綜合服務的悉心安排下，與老師們一同走進了新落成的翔東邨，上門探訪區內的獨居長者。

這次探訪的目的，不僅是為了讓長者們更了解東涌區的社區服務，更是希望將社會的關懷與支援親手送到他們手中。 小義工們化身「愛心速遞員」，為長者送上了實用的禮物包，希望這份微薄的禮物能為他們的生活帶來方便與溫暖。

活動結束後，小義工們坐下來真誠地分享了這次經歷的感受與反思。看着這班孩子的認真模樣，相信這次與長者的近距離接觸，不僅讓他們學會了尊重與聆聽，更是把嗇色園「普濟勸善」的精神深深扎根於心中。

On 6th July, a group of caring little volunteers from Ho Yu, accompanied by their teachers and arranged by the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tung Chung Integrated Services, visited the newly established Cheung Tung Estate to call on elderly people living alone.

The purpose of this visit was not only to help the elderly learn more about the community services available in the Tung Chung area, but also to deliver care and support from the community directly into their hands. The little volunteers acted as “love delivery couriers,” handing out practical gift packs to the seniors, hoping that these small tokens of kindness could bring a little convenience and warmth to their daily lives.

After the activity, the little volunteers sat down and sincerely shared their feelings and reflections on the experience. Looking at how seriously the children took this, we believe this close interaction with the elderly has not only taught them to respect and listen to others, but has also planted the spirit of “Universal Salvation and Encouragement of Goodness,” advocated by Sik Sik Yuen, deeply into their hearts.
