七月九日 · 荃灣大會堂
聯合畢業典禮（下午）：流程莊嚴，胡副秘書長授憑致訓
當天下午，嗇色園轄下各小學畢業生齊集荃灣大會堂，參與一年一度的「嗇色園小學聯合畢業典禮」。禮堂內莊嚴而溫馨，畢業生身穿整齊畢業袍，在家長與教師的殷切注視下，典禮循序展開。
典禮伊始，由嗇色園副主席兼教育委員會主席姚嘉棟律師致歡迎辭，為活動揭開序幕；隨後嗇色園學務總監黃子峰先生為各校作校務報告，回顧過去學年的教育成果與學生發展。接着，典禮迎來核心環節——教育局副秘書長胡鉅華先生親自頒授畢業文憑並致訓辭。儀式上，胡副秘書長為畢業生代表授予憑書，象徵六年勤學獲得的肯定；其餘同學則在台下肅立見證，共同感受這份集體榮耀。胡副秘書長在訓辭中勉勵畢業生持續進取，秉承嗇色園「普濟勸善」的精神，邁向更廣闊的學術天地。
典禮尾聲，由本校畢業生代表梓賢同學以粵語、嘉琳同學以英語，先後代表全體畢業生致謝辭。梓賢同學以鏗鏘的粵語回顧校園點滴，感謝老師諄諄教誨與父母無私付出；嘉琳同學則以流利英語，向在場嘉賓及辦學團體表達由衷謝意，並寄語同儕勇敢迎接未來挑戰。雙語致辭展現了本校學生紮實的語文素養，贏得全場熱烈掌聲。
七月十日 · 本校禮堂
升中開步禮：小花束贈祝福，時間寶箱寄未來
緊接而來的七月十日，校園內洋溢著另一番溫馨熱鬧。專為小六級舉行的「小學升中開步禮」於本校禮堂隆重舉行，為同學的中學生涯正式揭開序幕。典禮開始，梁校長率先為每一位畢業生頒發精緻小花束，寓意同學如花朵般綻放，帶着母校的祝福邁向成長新階段。
接着，大會進行極具意義的「時間寶箱」環節——孩子與家長分別將預先寫好、致六年後自己或孩子的信件，逐一投入寶箱內，並由中學部李均洪副校長親手保管。李副校長鄭重承諾，這些珍貴的信件將於同學中六畢業典禮時重新開啟，讓大家一同見證六年間的蛻變與心路歷程。李副校長在致辭時表示，衷心感謝家長親臨出席，成為孩子最強的後盾，同時亦深深感激家長對可譽的信任，讓孩子能以「一條龍」方式順利升讀中學部，延續完整的學習旅程。
其後，梁校長勉勵全體畢業生，鼓勵大家「堅持，堅持，再堅持」，以堅毅不屈的態度迎接中學新生活的各項挑戰。大會亦播放了精心製作的成長片段，回顧同學們六年來的校園足跡；片段中更寄語同學：「畢業不是終點，而是你們書寫自己故事的起點」，讓在座師生與家長無不動容。
典禮結束後，學校特別安排「校園巡遊」時段。學生再次穿上畢業袍，在老師帶領下遊走熟悉的課室、操場、圖書館及音樂室，重溫六年來的足跡。最動人的畫面，莫過於家長們紛紛舉起手機與相機，與孩子在校園每個角落拍照留念——從禮堂台階到課室黑板前，從操場跑道旁到圖書館門外，處處是擁抱、笑語與閃光燈。不少家長表示，看見孩子穿上畢業袍穿梭校園，既感驕傲，亦百感交集，這些定格的笑臉將成為家庭最珍貴的回憶。
雙典禮意義深長：感恩過去，擁抱未來
兩天、兩種儀式，卻貫穿着同一份情懷——感恩與盼望。聯合畢業典禮賦予學生一份集體榮譽，開步禮則賦予他們一份個人勇氣與未來期盼。隨着開步禮圓滿結束，小六學生將正式告別童年校園，迎向中學的新挑戰。而這兩天交織的掌聲、淚光與歡笑，已深深烙印在每個人的心中，成為他們人生路上最閃亮的序章。
July 9 and 10 were two days etched with milestones for this year’s Primary 6 students. The two distinctive ceremonies not only marked the successful completion of their primary education but also lit the way for the new chapter of secondary school ahead.
July 9 – Tsuen Wan Town Hall
Joint Graduation Ceremony (Afternoon): Formal Proceedings, Diploma Presentation and Address by Mr. WU Kui Wah, Thomas, Deputy Secretary for Education (2)
On the afternoon of 9 July, graduating students from all Sik Sik Yuen primary schools gathered at Tsuen Wan Town Hall for the annual “Sik Sik Yuen Joint Primary Graduation Ceremony”. The hall was filled with solemnity and warmth. Dressed in their academic gowns, the graduates stood under the watchful eyes of parents and teachers as the ceremony proceeded in due order.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Yiu Ka‑tung, Solicitor, Vice Chairman of Sik Sik Yuen and Chairman of its Education Committee. He was followed by Mr. Wong Tsz‑fung, Academic Affairs Director of Sik Sik Yuen, who presented the school reports, reviewing the educational achievements and student development over the past academic year.
The highlight of the ceremony was the diploma presentation and the keynote address by Mr. WU Kui Wah, Thomas, Deputy Secretary for Education (2). In the presentation, Mr. Wu conferred the graduation certificates upon the student representatives, symbolising the recognition of six years of diligent study, while the rest of the graduates stood solemnly in the audience to witness this collective honour. In his address, Mr. Wu encouraged the graduates to keep striving and to uphold the Sik Sik Yuen spirit of “promoting kindness and admonishing goodness” as they ventured into broader academic horizons.
At the end of the ceremony, our school’s graduate representatives, Tsz‑yin and Karin, delivered votes of thanks on behalf of all graduates – Tsz‑yin in Cantonese and Karin in English. Tsz‑yin spoke with eloquence in Cantonese, recalling fond school memories and expressing gratitude to teachers for their dedicated guidance and to parents for their selfless support. Karin, in fluent English, thanked the guests and the sponsoring body sincerely, and encouraged her fellow graduates to face future challenges with courage. The bilingual speeches demonstrated our students’ solid language proficiency and drew warm applause from the audience.
July 10 – School Hall
Kick‑off Ceremony for Secondary Education: Small Bouquets of Blessings, a Time Capsule for the Future
The following day, 10 July, the campus was filled with a different kind of warmth and excitement. The “Kick‑off Ceremony for Secondary Education”, specially designed for the Primary 6 cohort, was held in the school hall, officially ushering in their secondary school journey. The ceremony began with Principal Leung presenting a small bouquet to each graduate, symbolising that they would bloom like flowers and carry the school’s blessings into their new stage of growth.
Next came the meaningful “Time Capsule” session. Children and parents each placed into the capsule pre‑written letters addressed to themselves or their children six years later. The capsule was then entrusted to Vice Principal Lee Kwan‑hung of the secondary section for safekeeping. Vice Principal Lee made a solemn promise that these precious letters would be reopened at the students’ Form 6 graduation ceremony, allowing everyone to witness their transformation and personal journeys over those years. In his speech, Vice Principal Lee expressed his heartfelt gratitude to parents for attending and for being the strongest support for their children. He also deeply appreciated the trust that parents had placed in Ho Yu, enabling their children to progress smoothly to the secondary section through the “through‑train” arrangement and continue their complete learning journey.
Afterwards, Principal Leung encouraged all graduates with the words “Persevere, persevere, persevere”, urging them to face the challenges of secondary school life with resilience and determination. A carefully produced video of the students’ growth was then shown, recapping their six‑year campus footprints. The video carried a poignant message: “Graduation is not the end; it is the starting point for you to write your own story,” moving both teachers, students and parents alike.
Following the ceremony, the school arranged a “campus walk” session. The students, again in their graduation gowns, strolled through the familiar classrooms, playground, library and music rooms, guided by their teachers, reminiscing about their six years of memories. The most touching scene was that of parents raising their phones and cameras to capture every corner of the campus with their children – from the hall steps to the classroom blackboards, from the running track to the library entrance. Everywhere, there were embraces, laughter and flashes. Many parents said that seeing their children in gowns walking around the campus filled them with pride and mixed emotions, and these frozen smiles would become the most cherished family memories.
A Deeper Meaning in Two Ceremonies: Gratitude for the Past, Embrace for the Future
Two days, two different rituals – yet both were threaded with the same sentiments of gratitude and hope. The joint graduation ceremony gave the students a sense of collective honour, while the kick‑off ceremony endowed them with personal courage and anticipation for the future. With the successful conclusion of the kick‑off ceremony, the Primary 6 students will officially bid farewell to their childhood campus and step into new challenges at secondary school. The applause, tears and laughter of these two days have been deeply imprinted in everyone’s hearts, becoming the brightest prologue to their life’s journey ahead.
