由嗇色園主辦的「荃葵青、離島及沙田區小學天文及數學比賽（2025-2026）」已於6月27日在可風中學圓滿舉行
。本校4位高小孩子在此項學界盛事中表現卓越，分別奪得小五組別亞軍
及季軍
，以及小六組別亞軍及季軍，成績令人鼓舞！
孩子們在比賽中靈活運用天文科學知識
與數學解難技巧
，沉著應戰，充分展現出卓越的數理思維能力與探究精神
。賽後，他們參觀了可風中學中三學生於STEAM課節中完成的作品
，大開眼界；隨後更參與了由嗇色園主辦可觀自然教育中心暨天文館曾展鈞老師主講的專題講座，主題為「航天探索的發現和挑戰」
，讓孩子們對太空科技有更深入的認識。

The official competition, “The Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing, Islands and Sha Tin District Primary School Astronomy and Mathematics Competition (2025-2026), organized by Sik Sik Yuen”, was successfully held at Ho Fung College on 27 June . Four of our upper-primary children excelled in this inter-school event, winning the runner-up and second runner-up in the Primary 5 category, as well as the runner-up and second runner-up in the Primary 6 category – truly encouraging results!
Our children made flexible use of astronomical knowledge and mathematical problem-solving skills during the competition, staying calm under pressure and demonstrating outstanding critical thinking and a spirit of inquiry . After the competition, they visited the STEAM projects completed by Ho Fung College’s Form 3 students , which broadened their horizons. They then attended a special lecture on “Discoveries and Challenges in Space Exploration” delivered by Mr. Tsang Chin-kwan from the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre (also under Sik Sik Yuen), giving the children a deeper understanding of space technology.
We are grateful to Sik Sik Yuen for organising this meaningful academic event , which allowed our children to give their best in the fields of mathematics and astronomy, and to return home with wonderful memories and achievements !
