面對香港雨季帶來的暴雨及水浸問題，孩子們沒有退縮，反而用LEGO積木親手搭建模型，設計出一套兼具智能防洪閘、排水設備與蓄水池功能的社區解決方案。他們的發明不只是「擋水」，更能收集雨水、提升社區排水能力，將水患化為資源，建設更幸福的社區。

Ho Yu Primary students took part in the 28th Primary STEAM Project Exhibition and won the Merit Award with their original project: “Block & Collect” .
Facing the heavy rain and flooding issues during Hong Kong’s rainy season, these young innovators didn’t step back. Using LEGO bricks, they built a model featuring a smart flood gate, drainage system, and water storage tank. Their invention doesn’t just block floodwater – it also collects rainwater and strengthens the community’s drainage capacity, turning a natural challenge into a valuable resource and building a happier, safer community.
From observing real-life problems to designing creative tech solutions and hands-on building, Ho Yu students have demonstrated outstanding STEAM skills and a heart for their community. Let’s give a big round of applause to these future engineers and inventors!
