嗇色園副主席兼教育委會主席姚嘉棟律師於10月28日發表了一篇《為孩子護生態愛地球──珍古德的叮嚀》文章。當中提及的內容，與可譽小二級孩子在最近一星期所經歷的「護蛋行動」，互相引證。
一顆蛋中見眾生，一念護心啟無量慈悲。孩子以七日守護蛋寶，如實觀照生命脆弱，亦如父母累世護子之深恩。以天然物料（棉布、樹葉、廢紙再造）創意築巢，實踐惜物減廢；圓滿時學會從中念親恩，從護一蛋、念一親，擴至珍愛地球眾生，願清淨心廣庇寰宇。
On 28 October 28, Mr. Wilson Yiu, Vice Chairman of Sik Sik Yuen and Chairman of its Educational Committee, published an article titled “Protecting Ecology and Loving the Earth for Our Children — Jane Goodall’s Advice”. The content resonated deeply with the “Egg Protection Initiative” experienced by Primary 2 students of Ho Yu during the past week.
In a single egg, we see all beings; with one mindful act of protection, boundless compassion awakens. Over seven days, the children guarded their eggs, contemplating the fragility of life and reflecting on the profound devotion parents hold for their children across lifetimes. They creatively built nests using natural materials (cotton cloth, leaves, recycled paper), practicing waste reduction and resourcefulness. Through this journey, they learned to extend gratitude to their parents—from protecting one egg, to honoring one family, and ultimately to cherishing all beings on Earth. May this pure heart of care shelter the entire universe.
