7月上旬，繼畢業典禮後，可譽中學暨小學本年度為學子新設「小六升中開步禮」，特邀家長共同見證孩子邁向人生新篇章。
開步禮由小學部梁校長致辭揭幕，以奧運金牌得主的故事勉勵孩子秉持「乘風破浪」的精神，追求卓越。隨後，孩子們逐一上台接受證書，並將兩封意義深遠的信件封存於「時間寶箱」：一封是寫給六年後自己的期許，另一封則是家長致未來子女的深情家書。寶箱由中學部麥校長親自保管，待孩子中六畢業時重啟，見證成長的蛻變。
從「小一百日宴」到「小六升中開步禮」，這些儀式串聯起孩子的成長軌跡。我們期待六年後(中六級六終聚時)那封存的心意被展開的瞬間，深信彼時的他們，必會為今日播下的勇氣與愛而驕傲。
In early July, following the graduation ceremony, Ho Yu introduced a new rite of passage this year—the “P6 to S1 Kick-off Ceremony”—inviting parents to witness their children embark on a new chapter of life.
The ceremony began with an address by Primary School Principal Leung, who inspired students with stories of Olympic gold medalists, urging them to embrace the spirit of “riding the wind and breaking the waves” in pursuit of excellence. Each student then stepped onto the stage to receive a certificate and sealed two heartfelt letters into a “Time Capsule”: one penned to their future selves six years later, and the other a loving letter from parents to their child upon graduation. The capsule was entrusted to Secondary School Principal Mak for safekeeping, to be reopened at their S6 graduation, marking their transformative journey.
From the “P1 100-Day Celebration” to the “P6 to S1 Kick-off Ceremony,” these rituals thread together the milestones of a child’s growth. We eagerly await the moment these sealed wishes are unveiled at their S6 graduation, confident that they will look back with pride at the courage and love sown today.
